Teacher Equity Petition

Minneapolis Public Schools produces terrible and unacceptable outcomes for students of color. Teachers are the most important factor in student learning. We demand that MPS meet the challenge to achieve racial equity by dramatically changing the system so students of color have equitable access to effective teachers – which includes teachers who:

  • believe in their students’ brilliance

  • teachers who reflect their students’ identities

  • are experienced
