MPS must meet the challenge to achieve racial equity by dramatically changing the system so students of color have equitable access to effective teachers – which includes teachers who:

  • create positive outcomes for students

  • believe in their students’ brilliance

  • reflect their students’ identities

  • are experienced.

Teachers are our most valuable resource, and we need to redistribute them to meet the needs of students of color who’ve been historically and continuously underserved by MPS.
